We're bringing back the HSPU challenge from last year. This is for all athletes looking to work on push-ups, kick-ups, lowering to your head in an inverted position, maybe you have 1-3 HSPU, maybe you have 10-20 HSPU. Good structured time to hone in on a skill. Grab a friend and have them do it with you after class.
Programming will be through August Monday-Friday. Next week you'll get two days (Thursday and Friday) and then the following weeks Monday-Friday.
The programming will include levels from Scaled, Intermediate, Red and Comp.
Scaled: starts with progressive upper body press/pushing strength and reps that will slowly switch to kick-up attempts, and negatives towards the second half of the month.
Intermediate: Kick-Up, negative, and progression skill work paired with HSPU to build your confidence in lowering your head, and kick-off building capacity in your HSPU.
Red/Comp: Choose this if you already complete HSPU in metcons but want to build on your volume/strength.
Video links will be provided on all or most days for demonstrations. This is work on your own at open gym or if you have wall space, a box, and DB's or something weighted to work with at home. The programming will be found in MONTHLY CHALLENGE PROGRAMMING in your Wodify app. Programming should take 10-15 minutes.
